Hi everyone! We had the first Jenks show of 2008 at the McDonald Elementary Carnival in Spokane this month. Check out a few pictures from the show:

Everyone seemed to enjoy it, and it was fun to perform three songs from the upcoming album. I think the crowd favorite was "School Lunch Rocks!", which is a new song about the wonders of hot cafeteria food. Mmh!

Speaking of which, we're hard at work on our second CD. How can you go wrong with songs about school? There's a lot of catchy rock, acoustic stuff, and even some blues. Have an idea for a song? Let us hear about it! It's been a blast to remember all the things we loved about school.

For your enjoyment, we'll soon upload a free song, so you can hear a sample of what's to come!

All these shows are for free, so come and rock out with us! We'll have CDs, shirts, and puppets on hand at all the shows, and there's sure to be some great give-aways!

January News!

We hope everyone's new year is off to a good start! We're looking forward to a totally rad 2008!

There's a lot of fun stuff on the horizon for Jenks. We'll be playing nine shows at various libraries in the Spokane, Washington area this next summer. We're also negotiating many more shows in the area, so we'll have a fun summer full of rockin' concerts!

We're also getting ready to shoot a music video for "Little Monkey on the Roam." We've secured the rights to an amazing monkey puppet that will star in the video, and we'll have the same monkey puppet available for purchase at future shows. See how sweet he is?!

Valley News Herald: "Valley musician hits the right notes with new CD"

In an article in Spokane Valley's newspaper, Valley News Herald, Craig Howard writes:

"The next time the Inland Northwest hosts a circus, Corey Jenkins should be signed on to produce the soundtrack.

"Corey, a Spokane Valley resident and lead singer of the band Jenks, has compiled a CD of creative, polished songs for kids with an educational element that provides a fun overview of the animal kingdom. It is the first album for the group that also includes Corey's sister, Annie Jenkins-Schatz."

December News!

Hey everyone,

Wow, what a fun time we've been having! Last night we had our CD release party in Spokane, and it was a blast! Good food, good friends, and (in all humility) good music. We'd like to thank everyone who came out to spend the rockin' evening with us.

We have some mega-sweet updates for everyone:
- First, we're up and running on iTunes! Yes! Hooray! Holy Smokes!
- Second, we've got a totally rad new design for our Jenks merchandise line. Click on the store tab to check out the new "Larry, My Pet Tarantula" design!
- Third, we're playing a show in the Spokane Valley Mall! On Friday, December 21st, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., we'll be playing all your favorite Jenks songs at the Art, Music, & More store in the Spokane Valley Mall!

Wow, I think that's more exclamation points I've ever seen in two paragraphs. I must be really excited!

November has come, and all our CD's are in stock. Please visit the store to get your copy. Keep in mind that you don't pay extra shipping for multiple CD's.

We have a lot happening here at Jenks Music. We should have T-shirts on the way, and some live shows on the horizon. Keep on the lookout for a CD release party in Spokane, Washington.

We're also currently working on our next album, tentatively titled "School Rocks!" Yep, you guessed it, songs all about school. We have music written out for most of the album, and we're working on lyrics. It's bound to be one fun ride.
