Our Story
Jenks is made up of Corey Jenkins and Annie Jenkins-Schatz. We're brother and sister, and we love music! As kids there was always a lot of singing in the house (dad was a guitarist), and we were one of the only families in town that went Christmas Caroling in four-part harmony!
We grew up in a small town called Troy in Northern Idaho. Annie spent her time singing in concerts, playing piano, and performing in plays, and Corey passed the years learning guitar, bass, and drums.
After high school, we both attended the University of Idaho, where Annie studied Vocal Performance, and Corey received his degree in Digital Media Production. Corey later received an advanced degree in Film Production from Vancouver Film School.
In 2007 we released our debut album, "Animals from A to Z". After playing a lot of shows, creating music videos, and making a whole lot of new friends, we decided it was time to make another album. Our new CD, "School Rocks!" features a wide variety of songs focusing on life at school. Yeah, it's pretty sweet!
What makes us different? First off, we write and perform many different styles of music. Surf rock, Oldies, Spanish Guitar, Blues...we even do Opera! Second, every show we do includes world-class juggling by Corey. Four clubs, five balls, rings and fire...it makes for a show kids will never forget!
The future is bright for Jenks. We have a lot of music still in us, and we can't wait for you to hear it. Keep on rockin'!!!
